About 100 straight south of Salida, CO, stands the shell of what was once a mission church at Las Mesitas, Colorado. Just three years before it’s bicentennial, a fire ravaged the building, leaving nothing behind but the walls. On rare occasions, you can still find a wedding or mass going on inside the skeletal structure. On less rare occasions, you can lie in the nave and see the clouds or stars!
