It’s been accumulating for at least twelve years, which was how long ago I discovered it, but who knows how long locals have been adding to the collection. Anyone want to venture a guess as to where this beauty is located?
this hike is PERFECT for teenagers. It’s a quick 25 minutes up (nearly straight up), and there’s a righteous spot to picnic on the giant rock formation across the lake from the trail’s end. Grass Lake. Do it!
The Arkansas River is running between 300 and 400 csf these days, which is exceptionally low for this time of year. This family float needed a little help from a bystander getting across the rocks and into the current at The Drift In. Local experts say that even with the low water conditions, the river should be able to maintain flows of around 300 csf throughout the rafting season.
